LICE NITSHead lice are human parasites. They live in the hair on the head and survive by drinking small amounts of blood. They travel from person to person via head-to-head contact, either by hugging/sitting very closely, or sharing hats, brushes or combs. They are most often found in children due to the close contact they have with other children in school or summer camp settings.
